Today
I am going to show you how to make tasty and amazing Dal Makhani
recipe. This is a great indian dish which is so good in taste and easy to cook and you can
definitely try this at home. You try this recipe with the steps I mentioned and you are going to love this.
So, Let's start and cook healthy.
Ingredients:
Rajma - 50 gms Sabut Urad - 150 gms Ghee - 2 table spoon
Green chilies - 2 Garlic cloves - 5 to 6 Tomato - 2 big
Onion - 2 cups
Spices -
Salt - 1 tea spoon, Kitchen King - 1 Table Spoon, Coriander Powder - 1 tea spoon, Turmeric Powder - 1
tea spoon, Red Chili Powder - 1 tea spoon, Garam Masala - 1 tea spoon, Badi ilaichi - 1, Tej Patta - 1-2
Recipe:
To cook dal makhani you have to soak Rajma and Urad dal overnight or atleast for 6-8 hours so that it will cook easily when you put in the pressure cooker. Once the dal is soaked well you will wash it thoroughly. After that put the dal in the pressure cooker and let it cook for half an hour because it should have a thick texture. Put a big ilaichi and few cloves and few kali mirch in the cooker as it is going to give you the great taste as it will cook with dal too.
Meanwhile chop the onion tomato fine to make the masala . You can grind the onion and tomato with green chilies and garlic. Doing this your paste will be ready which we will use to make the masala for our dal. Check after half an hour if your dal is cooked nicely. Check the rajma beans with your fingers. Press them and check. If not, cook it again for 15 minutes. As much as we will cook our dal it is going to give you great taste. Put a small piece of butter in the cooker while cooking it. And in next 15 minutes your dal will be cooked nicely.
Now
put
the pan in the gas and let it heat for 3-4 minutes. Add ghee and
heat it for another two minutes. Put the jeera seeds and onion paste and fry it until the onion gets brown. Once it is brown you have to put the tomato garlic puree in it with a pinch of salt which will help tomato to cook easily. Cook it for 8-10 minutes and you will see oil coming out on the sides which mean the tomato has cooked. Put all the spices now in the pan and mix all well and let it cook for another 10-15 minutes with covered lid.
Now
we are going put dal in the pan. Mix the dal with the masala well and check if your dal is so thick. You can use water based on the consistency of your dal. Though Dal Makhani has thick texture naturally but if you want you can add water. That's it. Put 2 medium pieces of butter in the pan and cook it in low flame for 15 minutes and there you go your tasty amazing dal makhani is ready to be served. Pour fresh cream on the top of the dal makhani
You can garnish it with green coriander leaves.
