Today I am going to share with you a very easy yet healthy Stuffed Besan Chilla recipe. It is full of protein and fiber which keeps you full
for long hours and lower your cholesterol levels. Include this healthy dish in
your breakfast for the great start of the day or could be added in the lunch too.
So, let’s start and cook healthy.
Ingredients:
1. Besan (Gram flour) – 1 cup Paneer – 100 grams
3. Ghee – ½
table spoon Corn - 50 grams
4. Green Chillies (Chopped) – 2 table spoons
5. Spices –
Salt 1 table spoon, Black Pepper Powder – ½ tea spoon, Kitchen King Masala - 1 table spoon
6. Onion (Chopped) – ½ cup
7. Green Coriander Leaves (Chopped) – 3-4 spoons
Recipe:
To start with we have to take besan in a mixing bowl and make batter of it. Use water to mix the besan well and your batter will be ready. Mix a tea spoon of salt in the batter and put it aside for 20-25 minutes.
Now cut the onion in small pieces, wash the corn well and mash the Paneer and put it in a bowl.
Turn on the gas and put pan on it and let it heat for 2-3 minutes. Once it is hot put ghee in it and let the ghee heat for a minute. Put jeera now and stir it. Time to put the onion now and keep stirring until it gives you a light brown texture. Once the onion is light brown, put the corn in it and mix it well with the onion. Keep stirring and frying it for 2-3 minutes.
Now put the mashed paneer in the pan and stir it well. After stirring it for couple of minutes. Put the spices in it and mix it well with all the ingredients. Cover the lid of the pan and let it cook for another 4-5 minutes so that the masala will coat the ingredients well. And now your stuffing is ready.
Now it's time to pour the batter into the tava. Turn on the gas and wait 3-4 minutes for it to heat up on a medium flame. Using an oil brush, evenly apply the ghee to the pan. Now, with the help of a spoon, pour the batter into the round pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now try flipping the chilla to the other side to finish cooking. If it's stuck, don't try to remove it. Allow time for it to cook. Check to see if it comes out easily. Cook for 3-4 minutes on the other side as well.
When both sides of the Chilla gives you a brown texture. This is the time to fill the Chilla with the stuffing we have made. With the help of a spoon. Fill the stuffing in the Chilla and flip it from both sides to cover the stuffing.
Bang on. Remove the pan from the heat and your stuffed besan oats chilla is ready to eat.
